Bank issues Rupay ATM cum Debit cards to its customers which can be used throughout India in all banks’ ATMs . Customers can also make use of these cards for doing purchases(POS transactions) and E-COM Transactions.

Card Safe is a minimalistic mobile app (used on Android, iOS, Microsoft) for ensuring the security of a bank customer’s debit card. 

Using the app, the customers can:

Block/Unblock Debit Cards
Block/Deactivate and Unblock/Activate their Debit Cards anytime at will. Customer can activate a card just before doing a transaction and block the card as soon as done. Protects the card against misuse during its idle time.

Control and Self-Discipline
Customer can set the transaction limit to any amount below the maximum limit specified by the issuer bank. This inculcates financial self-discipline.

Emergency Self-Help
Customer can block a lost or stolen card instantly.

TERMS & CONDITIONS governing the usage of the debit card

 The accountholder (hereinafter called the Cardholder), along with the joint account holder, if any, of the Primary Account, unconditionally accepts the following terms and conditions for using the JSCB RUPAY DEBIT CARD (hereinafter called the card) issued by Janatha Seva Co-operative Bank Ltd., (hereinafter called the Bank) and JSCB RUPAY ATM CARD is the trade name and it refers to the “card issued by the Bank to its Account Holder for accessing the ATM Machine.”

 1)  The Card is not transferable and shall be used only by the Cardholder.

 2) The Cardholder shall use the Card to operate only the designated Primary Account or linked Account as per the ATM Card Scheme.

 3) The card holder should not select any PIN that can be easily guessed i.e his/her birth date, car registration no. etc. The Personal Identification Number (PIN) should be confidential and the PIN should be changed periodically. Cardholder may change his/her PIN in the ATM machine by selecting the option “PIN Change” in the ATM machine.

     The cardholder shall be solely responsible for the consequences arising out of disclosure of his/her PIN and/or unauthorised use of ATM card and shall be liable for any increased liability which he/she may incur on account of unauthorised use of PIN & ATM card.

 4)  The minimum balance of Rs. 1,000/- in Saving account and Rs. 3,000/- in the Current account (or as may be modified by the bank from time to time) has to be maintained.

 5)  The cardholder will be responsible for the safe custody of ATM card. In case of loss or theft of ATM card, the card holder shall intimate the nearby branch, as quickly as possible or de-activate the card immediately on the “Sarvatra card safe application”. This application can be downloaded from the Google Playstore available on Cardholders mobile.

     The cardholder shall however be responsible and liable for all the unauthorized transactions that occur before they report the card as lost or stolen and have it blocked. However, replacement of ATM card will be issued by the bank in lieu of lost or stolen card.

 6) The Bank shall terminate the ATM facility to the cardholder with immediate effect upon failure of the cardholder to adhere to or to comply with the terms & conditions herein set forth.

 7)  The cardholder(s) in all circumstance accepts full responsibility and shall be liable for all transaction processed by using his/her ATM card whether or not processed with the cardholder’s knowledge or authority, express or implied.

  8) The Bank shall, in no circumstance be held liable to the cardholder, if the ATM card is not honoured in desired manner, for whatsoever reason or if ATM services are disrupted and/or ATM is not functioning due to power failure, temporary insufficiency of cash in the ATM or any other reason. Bank will not be liable for any consequential of indirect loss or damage arising therefrom.

  9)  The cardholder shall indemnify the Bank for all the loss, damages caused directly or indirectly by his/her act of commission/ omission, contract of the terms and conditions or even otherwise.

  10)  All transactions, arising from the use of ATM card to operate a joint A/c shall be binding on all the joint A/c holders, jointly and severally.

 11) The Bank shall have the right of set-off and lien, irrespective of any other lien or charge, present as well as future on the deposits held in the cardholder’s primary A/c and/or secondary A/c’s or in any other account, whether in single name or joint name(s), to the extent of all outstanding dues, whatsoever, arising as a result of the JSCB ATM card service extended to and/or used by the cardholder.
